Thompson Price Kitchens, Baths, & Home, LLC is the inspiration of Thompson Price.
He has been in this industry since 1971, he started his career at a place called
B&B
Home Supply on St. Charles Rock Road. This was one of the very first of what
is know today as a home center. He learned about building materials and kitchen
and bath products. From there he went to work for himself as a manufacturer Rep,
selling kitchen and bath cabinets and like products to dealerships around the
Midwest. He then went to work for a local cabinet distributor and learned more
specifics about designing kitchens and baths. After a few years of that he bought
into a kitchen and bath remodeling company which is where he really cut his teeth
on how to design and install the projects for people in the St. Louis area. After
about three years it was time to branch out on his own. He opened his
own company, and Thompson’s House of Kitchens and Baths Inc. was born.
That was in 1978 and for the next 17 years he built one of the finest kitchen
and bath companies in the St. Louis area. During that time he had two showrooms
and found that by himself he was unable to grow the company to be the type of
company he knew it could be. After a number of interviews with other
like companies he found what he thought was the perfect match for what he wanted
to do. He merged an existing kitchen company into his company and a new era in
the St. Louis kitchen and bath market was started. It has been 13 years since
that company started and it grew to be everything he had dreamed of. As with
all things time can also mean change. He decided that he had gone as far as he
could with that dream and decided there was a better way to serve the St.
Louis community in the kitchen and bath field. He decided to start once again,
and has put together a team of players who not only understand this industry
but have worked in it for many years. They have all made a commitment to serve
our clients and be the very best kitchen and bath company that we can be.
Thompson, himself, is a master certified kitchen and bath designer and is also
a certified remodeler. He has been actively involved with the National Kitchen
and Bath Association, and over a 10 year period, has held all of the offices
for the local MO/So IL chapter. He has served on a number
of boards for kitchen and bath manufactures and focus groups to help them better
serve their clients. In 1990 Thompson was elected by his peers in the industry
and served as the national President of the National Kitchen and Bath Association.
He continues to write business articles and provide information about the kitchen
and bath industry to both his peers and consumers. He presents seminars on varied
topics concerning kitchens and baths to consumers at the local Home Builders
Home and Garden Show.
He was honored, in 2006, to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for the national
Kitchen and Bath Association. His vision is to continue with the knowledge he
has, to share it with his associates, for them to continue what they have
learned and to bring a whole new level of service and quality to the St. Louis
market.
